The Alajuela 33 is a small, blue water capable cruiser designed by naval architect Ray Richards. Known for sailing designs that offered both speed and practicality, other Ray Richards designs include the Cheoy Lee 38, Cheoy Lee Offshore 41 as well as the Ranger 20, 24 & 26.
The Alajuela 33 combined the strengths and features of the Alajuela 38 in a smaller design; the result being a “strong, seaworthy, fast, blue water cruising boat with large capacity in a small economical package”. Some of her “offshore” features include double quarter berths for ample storage, 6” high bulwarks, wide decks, a superior hull to deck joint, heavy bronze and stainless hardware including oversized rigging, higher than normal stanchions, and excellent ventilation.
“Fantasia” is now being offered by her owners who have taken every measure to keep the boat in top notch condition. She is beautifully equipped and in exceptional condition; stem to stern.
This is by far one of the finest 33’ foot blue water cruisers ever produced.
