"Sea Otter" is a superbly finished, rugged boat that can be sailed nearly anywhere your heart desires. The boat was responsible for early success of the Pacific Seacraft Company and established its reputation as a the builder of seaworthy and well thought-out boats capable of crossing oceans. This Pacific Seacraft 25 features a hand-laminated hull and deck, with the hull through-bolted to the deck, bonded and then reinforced with fiberglass for maximum strength. All interior bulkheads and furniture are securely bonded to the hull, and the rudder is solidly attached to the hull with custom bronze gudgeons. Her interior has beautiful joiner work with varnished teak and ash, and numerous custom features to maximize living space. The mast is deck stepped and set-up so that two or three people can step and un-step the mast in the water. In 2006 the boat underwent an extensive refit with the Yanmar Diesel Engine having been completely rebuilt, equipped with new running and standing rigging, new sails and canvas, new stainless steel chain plates, new Awlgrip Paint, along with numerous other improvements. This boat not only sails beautifully, but it is a work-of-art! The owner also has very extensive records of "Sea Otter" as seen in the last few photos listed.
