Pendragon II was designed by the legendary New Zealander Laurie Davidson and built by Geraghty Marine here in San Diego. She was subsequently modified by Leif Bailey, yacht designer, to add sail area, lengthen the hull and modify the keel for better performance in light air. She has a P H R F rating of 12 (Provided by seller) to indicate her performance potential. She will sail to that rating with proper crew work and tactical expertise
The mast was built by Ballanger in Watsonville to designer specifications.
If you want to race with the very expensive boats on a modest budget and WIN give us a call and we can show you how it can be done.
After racing and winning, when cruising Pendragon has an interior which will accommodate comfort with plenty of sleeping accommodations, an enclosed head, and ample storage for your cruising stuff. Teak facing on the main bulkheads adds warmth to the interior. A U shaped galley in mid ship location makes food preparation at sea safer and easier for the chef.
The 67 H P Perkins model 4.236 can power her up to 8 knots with ease. Coupled with a Borg Warner transmission( reduction 1.96 to 1) and 2 blade Martec folding propeller 22" LH 18 Pitch) powering is no problem.
