Detailed Vessel Walkthrough

Beginning all the way aft, a fiberglass swim platform is bolted through the transom and a walk-thru transom door leads up and into the cockpit. This cockpit is shaded by a “half-tower” with anodized aluminum pipe supports which are bolted through the coamings. This area is five (5’) feet longer than the standard 65’ LRC cockpit, enables there to be two large lazarette lockers for storage below deck and easily provides for two fore and aft facing lounge chairs on deck. Forward and up 2 steps from the cockpit is a line handling deck and a door from here provides access into the elegantly decorated and spacious saloon. Upon entering the saloon, which is divided into a lounging area aft and a dining area forward, a large sectional sofa is to the port side and has storage built-in beneath all of the seats and, an ottoman/coffee table with storage is situated just in front of this. Across to the starboard side is one swiveling occasional chair also with storage built in under the seat cushion. Wing doors lead out to both covered side-decks. An entertainment center built of teak wood finished to a high gloss and with granite top divides and separates this part of the saloon from the dining area which is just forward. The dining portion of the saloon features a rattan/glass-topped dining table with seating for four (4) persons and a beautifully crafted, built-in long side-board with granite top that runs the whole length of the starboard side of the saloon. A gently curving stairway in the aft port corner of this area leads down to access the private master’s stateroom and a short companionway leads into the aft entrance into the walk-in engine room. The master’s stateroom is all the way aft and spans the full width of the yacht’s beam. This is a large area with great amounts of storage for clothing, a large queen-size bed and a head en-suite with bathtub and shower. 

Just forward of the saloon on the main deck level and to portside is the large, well equipped, U-shaped galley. The full size, stand up refrigerator with side-by-side freezer is across from the galley on starboard side and a dry bar with bottle storage is just forward of the refrigerator. Forward of the galley area one enters the Pilothouse with helm station on centerline, dinette with pass-thru to galley, port and starboard side-doors leading out to side-decks, a teak ladder of 7 steps leads up to the fly-bridge and a companionway leading forward a down to the day-head and accommodations area for the guests and crew. 

Access to the side-decks and foredeck is gained through either the port or starboard side doors and from there the wide, covered side-decks lead forward to a protective Portuguese bridge. A door through the Portuguese bridge leads out onto the foredeck, windlass and bow pulpit. Up above the pilothouse is the expansive fly-bridge with upper helm station on the center-line followed by bench seating for 10 people on both the port and starboard sides of this deck. A large teak table for alfresco dining or cocktails adjoins the starboard side settee. Aft of the fly-bridge is the boat-deck with mounted R.I.B. tender and davit. Forward of the pilothouse and down a comfortable stairway one finds the guest’s/crew accommodations, Laundry Center and forward entrance to the engine room. All the way forward and just aft of the anchor chain locker is the stateroom for the crew. This stateroom features a private head with stall shower. Following aft, is a door which leads into the shared guest’s head. This is a large area that encompasses a stall shower. Across from this head is a cabinet which houses a stacked clothes washer and dryer. Then, aft and to port side is the first guest’s stateroom featuring twin single berths and a private entrance into the shared guest’s head. Across on the yacht’s starboard side is the yacht’s fourth stateroom with over/under single bunk berths. Aft of this, at the end of the companionway, a door leads into the forward portion of the walk in engine room.

Main Saloon

Upgraded wooden leveler blinds, window treatments and valances and high quality carpeting produce a rich, elegant decor. A flat screen TV is housed inside a custom built-in cabinet which was added to the overhead when the headliner was replaced during the yacht’s refit. This TV folds down and enables viewing from the aft lounging area of the saloon.

Master Stateroom

Jabula offers a fully private master’s stateroom that is isolated from the other guests and or the crew’s quarters. This area spans the whole of the yacht’s beam measurement and features a large, queen-size bed on the centerline, exceptional amounts of clothing storage in two extra-large cedar-lined closets, plenty of drawers and a Sharp 25” flat screen HDTV w/ DVD player. The drawers were built into teak bureaus on the port and starboard sides of this stateroom. Built-in nightstands on either side of the headboard support reading lamps and all of the teak paneling and woodwork is in excellent original condition. The master’s head was completely remodeled during the refit in 2008 and the stateroom received upgraded soundproofing and insulation at that time.

VIP Stateroom - Portside

This comfortable stateroom features twin single berths with a nightstand between and reading lamps over the berths. There is good storage for clothing here with drawers and a cedar-lined large hanging locker. Additionally there is a private entrance from this stateroom into the shared guest’s head. An Insignia 21” flat screen HDTV has been mounted on the bulkhead forward

Guest Stateroom - Starboard Side

Features long over/under single bunk berths with a nightstand and lamp, hanging locker, a cabinet and drawers for clothing storage. Attractive curtains and window treatments make this a most comfortable stateroom.

Guest/Crew Stateroom - Forward

This stateroom features over/under bunk berths on portside and a chest of drawers across to starboard. A large hanging locker, private head with stall shower and an Insignia 23” flat-screen HDTV with built in DVD player makes this a comfortable stateroom for guests or crew.

Jabula is a veteran cruiser of the Caribbean, Bahamas and eastern seaboard. The yacht’s sturdy and solid construction with engineering to the highest industry standards, when combined with the comfortable livability and proven seakeeping abilities of J. Hargrave’s timeless yacht design are two of the reasons why this yacht model continues to enjoy a large and growing following of knowledgeable yachtsmen and woman. Capable of a cruising range of 2500 miles and burning just 9.2 gallons of fuel per hour and achieving 9.3 knots at cruise, this equates out to an economical 1 mile per gallon of fuel which includes one generator running. Given the galley-up layout with the saloon and pilothouse on the same main-deck level, roomy walk-in engine room with full standing headroom and wide, safe, covered walk around side-decks, it isn’t a mystery to me why the 65’ LRC continues to enjoy popular demand and, the Hatteras 65’ LRC yacht may have yet to have been improved upon. Jabula’s exceptional, come see for yourself. Easily inspected in Fort Pierce, FL. Price recently reduced!  Owner will consider smaller (25' - 40'), quality built vessels in trade.
