When Regal Marine’s newest flag-ship cruiser was unveiled in 2000, the Commodore 4160 set a new standard of style and comfort not only for Regal, but its competitors as well.
Regal’s top-of-the-line cruiser — a big beamy express sport yacht with racy good looks — has been built with serious cruisers clearly in mind. This boat can easily and graciously host a dockside party for a gang of your boating buddies, but its layout and performance still make sense for a week-long wilderness cruise with your family or a few close friends.
The vessel is stored on a lift which has kept it safe and undamaged during our past eventful tropical season..
Current owners purchased this beauty in January 2003. She has traveled to the Keys but mostly to Shell Island for great weekend getaways. They like to say she only accommodates 4 in two private cabins each with their own head. However there are added sleeping areas when the lounge and cockpit seating are converted with included cushions.
The galley offers a 2-burner stove, microwave, coffee maker and a AC/DC refrigerator that holds plenty of cold beer and provisions. There is even a freezer section for your ice cream. The 8 KW generator easily runs 2 AC/heating units as well as all other powered items including an ice maker in the cockpit area. They also added rod holders for the grill and flag.
They upgraded the Raytheon GPS and Radar to the newer colored models. The Cummins engines are the gem of this boat. The only time they lose oil is when you clean off the dip stick.
This style boat also offers great shaded areas as well as full sun spaces. The extended swim platform is very spacious. It's been a great family boat and it's now time to pass her onto another family.
The Regal Commodore 4160 is a luxurious performance sport yacht with a large U-shaped seating arrangement that faces the helm and driver. The helm is extra wide for two-person seating and features a burl wood panel and tilt steering wheel. All instrumentation, switches and multifunction gauges are easy to access. The aft cockpit features facing bench seats and the foredeck is graced with a two-person sunpad. Alternate engine access is gained via a walk-down ladder beneath the aft bench seat. Transom storage provides plenty of room for fenders, dock lines, and cleaning supplies. Belowdecks, the wide main salon features a nine-foot leather sofa that provides generous seating for dining or conversation and pear wood-finished cabinets for storage overhead. The oval, pear wood dining table trimmed in Corian quickly converts to a coffee table. The stereo is advanced Kenwood design with Bose speakers. The galley features a large, curved expanse of Corian counter surface with plenty of roll-out draws and bin storage below. Side by side refrigerator / freezer, microwave, coffee maker, and hidden two-burner stove are all standard. A TV / VCR, Raytheon VHF, and depth finder are also standard, as is the remote spotlight. The forward stateroom offers an oversized berth with an inner-spring mattress that is hinged for easy access to a large storage area beneath. Other standard features include two full-size storage drawers, a large cedar-lined hanging locker, a built-in TV / VCR, and a recessed bookshelf.
