The Deck Saloon concept offers interior volume and light while maintaining a stylish exterior. This is the work of Italian designer Garroni, who created the Sun Odyssey 54 DS. The Sun Odyssey 42 DS combines the luxury of a deck saloon with performance under sail thanks to the architect Marc Lombard who also designed the Sun Odyssey 35.
Build

CONSTRUCTION:
The hull is solid hand-laid fiberglass reinforced with one-piece structural grid with additional reinforcement added to the keel area and chainplate mounts.
The deck is built using the Prisma (closed mold) resin-injection process.

The bilge area under the saloon floor was subject to warranty work which was carried out in the Spring of 2012. This involved strengthening and re-epoxying the longitudinal beams.
