This is a 24 volt boat, with a 24 to 12 volt converter for electronic equipment requiring the lower voltage.
The boat has a total of 16 AGM batteries:
• Eight 4D 12 volt, 225 AH AGM batteries in a series-parallel configuration to create the 24 volt, 900 AH house battery bank. There are three Blue Seas linking relays to interconnect the battery banks (automatic or manual operation via a panel in the pilot house).
The engine is equipped with a 250 Amp Balmar alternator, with 3-step regulator.
The 3-step charger for the house battery is a 100 amp 24 volt Mastervolt Mass 24/100 operating off of 240 VAC.
The engine starting battery is charged by a 3-step 100 amp 24 volt Mastervolt Mass 24/100 operating off of 120 VAC.
There is a Xantrex Echo-Charger linking the house batteries and the generator starting batteries.
There is a 3,000 Watt Xantrex inverter/charger, with automatic transfer switch.
The generator is a Northern Lights 12 KW unit in a sound shield, and equipped with a quiet water-separating exhaust system.

There are 50 A shore power connectors at the bow and stern, together with a 50 foot 50 A shore power cable, and a 65 foot 30 A shore power connector (with integral 50/30 A mechanical and electrical interface).

Most lighting is LED, although there are some halogen lights and fluorescent lights in the engine room.
The primary navigation system uses Rosepoint's Coastal Explorer software running on a Windows computer (new in 2015) made by Stealth Computer (a Toronto-based manufacturer of industrial computers). The computer has high performance (the CPU is a Intel I7), operates on 12 volts, has a solid-state "hard" drive, and no fans. The computer has no moving parts, runs cool, and was built for high reliability. It is isolated from the boat's structure by shock mounts, is easy to access, and contains 6 dedicated DB-9 RS-232 ports (for NMEA 0183 data). The computer is connected to a Koden open-array (4 foot antenna) network radar via Ethernet. The radar is controlled via Coastal Explorer. The computer drives two Big Bay 17 inch daylightviewable displays in the pilot house, and a 12 inch display on the bridge.
Raster, Vector, and Photo charts for the West Coast of Canada, Alaska, and Washington are installed on the solid state "hard" drive of the computer.
A solid-state masthead Airmar transducer provides wind speed, temperature, and direction, plus humidity, tilt, and heading information. There is also a back-up GPS sensor that can be accessed by Coastal Explorer if the main GPS source should fail.
The primary source of position and heading data is a Hemisphere V101 satellite compass mounted on the pilot house roof. Unaffected by magnetic fields, this unit allows a precise alignment of “radar overlay” on top of charts.
A new (2016) Furuno FCV628 sonar (with Rez-Boost transducer) provides depth, water speed, and water temperature data.
There is a Garmin GPSMap 540s chartplotter/sonar with its own GPS antenna and depth transducer. This unit provides position data to the Furuno radar/chartplotter, and also functions as another backup data source of position data to the Coastal Explorer System.
There is a Furuno radar (24 inch radome) and chart plotter that uses GPS data from the Garmin GPSMap, and heading data from the autopilot's fluxgate magnetic compass.
Radar overlay is provided on both the Furuno and Coastal Explorer systems, and all three systems (Coastal Explorer, Furuno, Garmin) are equipped with full electronic charts.
There is an AMEC Class B AIS transponder (transmit and receive), connected to a separate antenna on the mast, and interfaced to the satellite compass. Received AIS targets are overlaid on the Coastal Explorer display. There is a switch to turn off the transmit function, so that your position remains "hidden", but you can see other vessels.
There is a rear-facing camera that can be viewed on one of the Big Bay video monitors.
All navigational data is also transmitted via WiFi from a ShipModul NMEA multiplexer. This device also provides the complete set of data via USB. Either of these multiplexer outputs can be used by another computer.
There is an Icom IC-504 VHF Marine radio equipped with DSC, and provided with GPS NMEA data. There is a modified Icom IC-7000 that allows two-way communication on SSB frequencies (amateur and marine) via an SGC automatic antenna tuner and 21 foot loaded vertical antenna. It also operates on aviation frequencies, amateur FM VHF and UHF frequencies, VHF marine channels, and Broadcast frequencies (AM and FM). The IC-7000 is interfaced to an SCS PTC-II modem for SSB e-mail and weatherfax via Pactor-3.
The fresh water tank has a 300 gallon capacity. Par Max pressure water pump (24 volt) in engine room. There are exterior faucets on the bow, and at the stern (hot/cold shower). Single lever faucets (by Grohe) in the galley and heads.
Spectra 400 gpd watermaker (24 volt) located in the lazarette. Equipped with "Z-Bane" and automatic fresh water back-flushing (every 120 hours), so pickling is never required, and the system is always usable.
Headhunter high capacity salt water pump (120 VAC) for anchor wash-down, and toilet use (if selected by the 3-port valve in each head).
Each head has a granite-topped vanity, and high-end sink and faucet, plus a walk-in shower stall, lots of stowage, and a Tecma macerating toilet (24 volt). A valve is provided to run the toilet either on pressure fresh water, or pressure salt water (for water conservation when on long cruises).
The toilets are connected via Y-valves to either an overboard discharge, or to the holding tank, which is equipped with a macerator pump (24 volt), and overboard discharge. There is also a deck fitting for emptying the holding tank at a pump-out station.
The galley countertops are granite, with an under-counter Franke double sink, equipped with a garburator disposal unit (120 volt) and Grohe faucet.
There is an overhead convection oven/microwave with an integral exhaust fan.
There is a Force 10 four burner propane stove and oven. Propane tanks are mounted in the seat locker ahead of the pilot house. There is a Xintex S-2A propane sniffer and gas control, plus a manual bypass switch (in case the controller malfunctions on a long cruise).
There is a built-in Seafreeze JT26 refrigerator/freezer, trimmed in matching wood (the compressor is in the engine room, and operates from 24 VDC or 120 VAC).

There is a built-in Grunert deep freeze located in the commissary. This is equipped with holding plates, and operates from 120 VAC.
There is a built-in, remotely-controlled TV lift, with a Samsung TV (new in 2015), masthead antenna, DVD player, mast-mounted antenna, and provision to play digital movies from a USB memory device.
There is a built-in Pioneer sound system (AM, FM, CD, USB) with 10 switchable speakers and a powered sub-woofer. This is also connected to a Sirius/XM satellite radio tuner located in the pilot house.
There is a built-in Splendide washer/drier combination (120 VAC), which is vented to the outside.
The main anchor is an 88 pound Rocna, with 300 feet of 3/8 chain. The backup anchor is a 66 pound spade with 180 feet of 3/8 chain.

Stern-tying is facilitated by a 600 foot spool (with crank) of 1/2 inch polypropylene line, located on a support on the Port aft "stern staple". This is removable, and can be replaced (by means of a "fast pin") with the standard horizontal staple support bar. A removable fish-cleaning table is mounted above the spool. There are two custom stainless socket mounts for accepting either the Magma BBQ, or electric Scotty downriggers.
On the top deck, there is an AB aluminum 11ALX RIB tender (centre console), and 30 hp Yamaha outboard (4-stroke, new in Fall of 2016). There is a Garmin GPSmap 396 chart plotter/sonar with transom-mounted transducer and all charts for the West Coast. The tender is carried on removable deck chocks, and is equipped with a custom stainless steel bracket for a Scotty fishing downrigger, together with an electrical connector for an electric downrigger. The mast and boom are equipped with two 1,000 lb Warne winches (new in 2015, 24 volts).
There is a 14 foot Perception ocean-going kayak with cover stored on the top deck. There are removable stainless steel "cradle brackets" that fasten to the stern staples to make a "kayak dock" to permit easy boarding and exit from the swim grid.
