Description MUELLER BERNICKA II

The previous owner had the vessel overhauled on a German wharf between 1993-95, refitting and preparing the vessel for a trip to the Caribbean. The work was carried out “regardless of cost”. However, due to a change in the owner’s circumstances this voyage ended in Spain and the boat has been very little used since. The Moana is structurally sound with no signs of internal corrosion and the teak decks are in excellent condition. She has a fully equipped fly-bridge for complete control. In 2007 a new tonnage certificate was issued be the Swedish Maritime Administration and the ship was registered in the Swedish Registry of Shipping. This boat is a wonderful live-aboard boat or could be a tremendous dive boat

In addition to extensive maintenance activities, Moana has recently undergone a thorough dry docking in which the following was conducted:

• A thorough cleaning of the hull

• Disassembly of rudders and axes

• Replacement of cutlass bearings (3 units) + alignment

• Replacement of axes’ bearings

• Disassembly, cleaning and assembly of ruddersFour (4) layers of epoxy base paint

• Bottom paint according to standards including extensive antifouling

• Painting the entire hull from bottom to top of the light mast

• Thorough cleaning and painting of the engine room

• Thorough mechanical treatment of the 3 engines including filter and oil replacement

• Mechanical treatment of the 2 generators including filter and oil replacement

• Replacement of batteries – 12 new batteries in 3 banks – each with 4 batteries

• New dinghy – Zodiac + 15 HP O/B

• New bimini at the upper bridge

• New covers for the bridge’ windows.
