The Heritage 35 is a powerful offshore cruiser with excellent performance and a comfortable seagoing layout below; a McCurdy & Rhodes design, that is well proven with many extended passages to its credit. The Heritage 35 Offers 7 berths in 2 cabins. A quarter berth portside Use mostly as storage. A slide out double on the port side and a slide out single on the starboard side. A double V berth with filler cushion in the bow with storage lockers on both sides. Two hanging lockers on the Starboard side opposite the Head with sink on Port side. A door closes off the V berth and another door closes off the head. Two opening ports (Just rebuilt with new Lexan by the manufacturer Atkins and Hoyle) One opening Hatch over the v-birth and another in the main cabin. The interior is all teak with a teak and holly sole. The sole is 3/8 inches of solid teak and holly strips glued together and glued to ½ in marine ply sub floor. (all solid with no flex). Two sets of Hatch Washboards. I set is bullet proof Lexan. The other is teak. There is also a 1-piece plywood screen. Eberspacher diesel forced air furnace 3 outlets. 1 in main cabin, 1 in head compartment and one at the front of the v berth.
Salon has a folding table and storage lockers on both sides.
Galley is equipped with a Domestic 3 burner with oven and grill propane stove. Large fridge and freezer compartment. With Navigation table opposite.
The Heritage 35 is masthead Bermudan Sloop rigged, keel stepped Klako anodised mast and boom, in 2010 the standing rigging was replaced 9/32, 304 Stainless steel with all Stay Lock terminals and an insulated back stay. Ultra-Furl, head stay furling.
Harken backstay adjuster. 17 ft Spinnaker pole. Cape Horn servo pendulum self-steering system.
7 Winches, 2 Barient 28 self-tailing Primary. I Barient 22 mounted on cabin top with wincher. Two Lewmar 22 with winchers mounted on the mast and one Barient 16 mounted on the boom.

The Heritage 35 is powered by a new Beta 30 with transmission and shaft was installed in 2014 turning a 17x10x 3 bladed Max prop. Equipped with a 125-amp alternator and serpentine belt with the deluxe panel.
Tankage; 20-gal diesel tank under ¼ berth port side. Plus5x5 gal jerry jugs on deck.
70 Gal. fresh water two 35 gal tanks 1 under settee (double bunk) port side, 1 under settee (single bunk) starboard. Side.
35 gal. holding tank under v berth. Pumped out through deck fitting. Head can also be pumped overboard directly through a y valve.
2016: All new Batteries 3x12 V leisure deep cycle 110 ah. I 100 amp starting battery. Charging from the engine alternator and wind generator.
Age and circumstances are causing us to seek a new home for our 1976 Heritage 35. We have owned her since 1991 (3rd owners) and she has taken us safely all-around Lake Ontario Lake Erie, down the St Lawrence to Newfound land and Labrador twice. Down the Eastern Seaboard to New York City and up the Hudson River back to Lake Ontario. Then out the St. Lawrence again in 2011 to Cape Breton and Across the Atlantic to Ireland in 2012. In 2013 she sailed to Norway and returned to Ireland for the winter. In 2014 she returned to Norway and sailed North of the Arctic circle where she wintered. She returned to Ireland in 2015 and in 2016 circumnavigated the Island. In 2017 she had and easy summer sailing the West Coast of Scotland.
All the above is to show she is a well found and safe vessel able to sail anywhere. She is a Sailing Vessel not a dock queen or a gin palace. She can make 150-mile days and will sail all day at 6.5 knots and can do 8knots.
Her hull is of hand laid solid glass construction with a cored deck and modified long fin keel with 2.5 tons of lead ballast. She has a skeg mounted rudder that is about a foot above the bottom of the keel Her total weight is in the neighbourhood of 16,000kg Below the water line she has 15 coats of inter protect 2,000 epoxy so no blisters! She had a new coat of 2 part all craft paint applied in 2009/10 at which time soft spots in the deck were repaired. The Keel was also dropped and re bedded at the same time. In 2010 the standing rigging was replaced 9/32, 304 Stainless steel with all Stay Lock terminals and an insulated back stay.
