Forward head port with Raritan PH toilet, handheld shower, medicine cabinet and lockers, manual and pressurised fresh water. Hanging locker opposite to starboard.
Main saloon with extensive stowage behind settee (pulls out for additional width) to starboard, butternut folding dining table amidship and settee with bookshelves and stowage to starboard Stereo speakers fore and after behind starboard settee. Galley to port with Force 10 propane stove, Grunert refrigerator and freezer, sink with manual pressurised water and manual salt water, deep pot locker, enclosed shelf stowage over pot locker, stove and freezer. Companionway ladder to cockpit amidship.
Navigation station to starboard with bookshelf and electronics mounted fore and aft. Wet locker to starboard aft of navigation station. Interior passage to aft cabin with tool drawers built in over enclosed integral 50-gallon fuel tank.
Engine compartment accessed via door from interior passage. Engine compartment contains engine, 20-gallon (separate) and two 50-gallon (intergral) fuel tanks, hot water tank and the aft head holding tank.
Aft cabin with hanging locker, chest of drawers, bookshelves, single bunk starboard, 3/4 bunk to port. Companionway ladder offset slightly to starboard to aft deck exit hatch covered by small dodger. Aft head with Raritan PH toilet, handheld shower, manual and pressurised fresh water, medicine cabinet and deep stowage compartments. This head has Y-valve and holding tank.
Bulkheads are aluminium sheathed in plywood painted white. Interior is white paint on plywood with butternut trim. Heads are Formica. Fans throughout, 10 opening ports, 3 dorades for excellent ventilation in hot climates.
Two welded anchor rollers and a 12-volt Ideal windlass. Reckmann roller furling. Fitting for attaching inner forestay. Spinnaker pole stowage to port. Large Bomar forward hatch over forward stateroom, Dorade vents over forward head and saloon, 2 small Bomar hatches over main cabin. Centre cockpit with dodger. Cockpit has two longitudinal seats and a helmsman contoured seat. Cockpit sole and seat bottoms are teak as are cockpit coamings. Instruments are in black Plexiglas dashboard extending across the forward end of the cockpit. Cockpit is covered by a solid fibreglass Bimini Top with integral halogen lighting. 42" stainless steel Edson wheel with leather cover. Primary and secondary jib sheet winches, headstay roller furling line and mainsheet winch are easily at hand in cockpit.
Mizzen mast stepped aft of cabin house. Liferaft stowage to port of mizzenmast, vented propane locker on port aft deck, large lazarette hatch to starboard. Propane supply line to aft deck for grill use.
GALAXIE has a large U-shaped galley on the port side at the base of the companionway ladder. It has a large single stainless steel sink on the forward counter. The 3-burner Force 10 propane stove with oven is located outboard to port. The aft counter area houses a large top loading refrigerator and a separate top-loading freezer. There is storage above the aft countertop and there are lockers for food, dishes, etc outboard to port.
