THE ROSE is a nice example of this, venerable Aarnapaolo designed motorsailer that many boat builders have tried to compete with, but fallen short. Nauticat is the gold standard in motorsailers and is an absolute must see for anyone looking for a sailboat for extended f cruising, island- hopping or seasonal liveaboard.

Notably her decks are nonskid as opposed to teak; a much lower maintenance approach to a safe deck surface for good footing in good and poor conditions. The lifeline system was customized with increased stanchion lengths to elevate the handrails and maximize safety.
There is a generator which is uncommon on Nauticat 38s, which means you do not have to be tied up to the dock and plugged in to shorepower to enjoy air conditioning.
If you are a sailor the full-battened mainsail will improve n already good sailplan and increase the life of the sail (less flogging)..
There are maststeps on the mainmast to make going aloft easier.
For cruising or liveaboard a ciustom-built, well insulated freezer was installed augmenting the existing refrigeration.
A feathering Maxprop enhances performance under sail eliminating drag. Under power it increases efficiency and power in reverse by offering the same pitch as in forward. Great stopping power if you need it and powerful in reverse if you have run aground and need to back off. Pitch can be adjusted.
A remarkably well thought-out boat for cruising.

THE ROSE has a traditional V-berthed forward cabin with a large hatch overhead. Just aft are a head to Port and a large hanging locker opposite.
Next aft to Port is a large U-shaped, converting (double berth) dinette across from a fore and aft arranged galley.
Up 2 steps and aft is pilothouse with 360 degrees of visibility and one has level sightlines whether seated or standing... The lower helm is on centerline with Morse gear & throttle. an L-shaped settee is in the Starboard side aft corner and an inboard sliding step can convert it to a pilot berth. In the Port aft corner is a single settee.

The aft cabin has the popular, large athwartship berth and a large head ensuite. There are 4 opening portlights for light and ventilation and 2 aft-looking portlights for light.
