Invincible Lady (1985)
Highly regarded fast cruiser with quality comfort and space, sleeps up to seven. Sabre Yacht quality, built in the tradition of Maine with craftsmanship. A centerboard model, just perfect for easy navigation in shallow waters. Invincible Lady has been constantly improved and well looked after, including a new engine installation in 2019. The second owner since 1999, is upgrading to a larger boat for distance cruising. Well maintained family cruiser sailed yearly on the Chesapeake Bay with many beautiful memories. Obviously, a boat not easy to part with, and it is turn-key, ready to sail.
All the yearly work was done at Whitehall and they probably have records, although there was originally John White, Hinckley, then Scandia Marine. The boat was hauled every year at least for a spray and paint Interlux every two years. Issues were addressed at the time of haul-out along with replacing necessary zincs. Also the cable for the centerboard was replaced/updated by John White in addition to the new diesel fuel tank and new lofrans windlass. The boat was seasonally used every year, except 2018, where the engine was faulty; difficulty in getting new parts. I added the metal dorades. Also, the transom was repainted (Imron) with new lettering around 2016. Essentially, besides the forward hatch needs a new hinge bolt and AC SeaFrost unit needs service, there should not be anything major regarding repairs considering her new engine, head, water heater replaced, refinished bottom (sand blasted), exterior teak, refurbished spinnaker (new bag & douser), new doger (North Sails), relatively new bimini. The aft water hookup/shower was also replaced/repaired in 2019 along with the float in the sump.
That said there was a water leak from the head in 2019 after the haul out for the engine replacement, hence full head replacement in 2019. The cabin soles were scuffed when we purchased in 1999, just took care of non-cosmetic things mainly over the years.
The boat was last sailed in 2019 August/September and we love it, except the family was getting bigger and we needed even more room.
