The vessel was built in 1985 by Cantieri Navali Lavagna in Italy as an Admiral 30 model. Although it is a 100 % custom project as the other yachts of similar size from the yard were all a bit different back then. This particular yacht was built from a Italian tycoon at the head of a proeminent dairy company. Therefore everything on board was customely design and built for that owner. As a result you get a very singular layout on the main deck with a multi purpose large main saloon that can transform into a dining room. There is actually a private dining room forward seating 10 guests which offering stunning panoramic and privacy. The shipyard was one of the leading builders for fast vessels along with Baglietto and Cantieri di Pisa, and notoriously famous for the seaworthiness of its hull. One trained eye will easily spot the hard chine that litteraly breaks the waves and provides a unique ride even at important speed. Being 7 m/23 ft wide also helps in rough conditions. Powered with twin MTU producing each 1960 hp, the yacht easily reaches 30 knots top speed and average 24. The hull is made in mahogany which brings good insulation and confort. Gross tonnage is fairly important for a boat of that size and type at 170. The 5 double ensuite cabins confortably accomodates 10 guests. The master suite lays amidship in the most stable position and spans full beam. It has walk in dressing room and large bathroom. There is another double cabin and 3 twin cabins. The crew has independent quarters fore and aft for 6/7 members in 4 cabins. The galley is on the main deck between the salon and the dining room and has a crew mess and independent acess. The deck spaces are large and plenty with a nice aft deck with two foldable tables and L shaped deck seating. Forward lies a large sunbed and important deck surface having the superstructure laying backwards. Finally the flybridge deck offers a important space that is manageable as pleased with no fix furniture appart from the wheelstation seating. Aft is the boat deck with space for two tenders or one tender and a jet ski. The bridge is placed on a half level between main deck and the flybridge. Thanks to its high volume and versatility this yacht is the ideal vessel for large corporate gathering, family cruises and liveaboard. The vessel suffered damaged from a storm when it got dragged on the shore. The hull has several small damages and water is present in the lower deck. This is not a major issue for any knowledgeable yard which will easily replace the planking. This is the major advantage of wood over fiberglass in that circonstance. The major part of the refit is the lower deck that will need to be completely refitted from electricity to carpentry. Most of the piping is plastic so that will not be corroded. There is a similar vessel built by the same yard that was refitted some years ago and it now has a long life ahead of her. Therefore, this project is of an important scope but doable for the one who enjoys proper built vessels and who is keen on overtaking projects This is a unique opportunity to own and make live again a custom built vessel like no other.
