Prime Time is a Nauticat 44 (Hull no. 111). The current owner bought her as a retirement project in 2003. She was stored on the hard at Deltaville Yachting Center where she received a very extensive renovation including re-powering with a commercial duty Volvo Penta diesel. She was re-launched in 2011 and the owners started enjoying the fruits of their labor. Nauticat is synonymous with famous seaworthiness, toughness, durable designs, easy handling, and comfortable sailing, an unbeatable combination of performance both under sail and power, highly admired quality of build and attention to details, a pilothouse offering a 360 degree view and maneuverability from inside. A Nauticat is laminated by hand using single-skin lamination with unidirectional fibers to secure a strong lamination of the deck and hull. The internal bulkheads make the construction strong by connecting the deck, hull, and interior into one unit. The worldwide reputation of Nauticat Yachts is well know and the personality of these craft with their distinctive lines are admired by many, but owned by few! The Nauticat 44 is a kind and forgiving yacht at sea and as such is one of the worlds most highly regarded blue water yachts. Prime Time is a particularly fine example of this famous cruiser and is ready for extensive voyaging with comfort and safety. She is slightly overpowered in terms of engine output in order to give her an excellent motoring capability when needed. She has accommodations to sleep up to 8 persons including a private v-berth, owner's aft stateroom, convertible dinette, and settees. There are two enclosed heads with showers and a nicely equipped galley to complete this roomy live aboard. Please see the full specs to view the complete list of features and upgrades. A complete breakdown of all systems and features is available upon request.

All service points on the engine and generator are easy accessible. The space under the engine is separated from the rest of the bilge, possible oil leakage from the engine is confined and will not be pumped overboard, it has to be removed by hand. A diesel engine requires sufficient volume of air or else it will lose power. For the engine to function properly and give full power it is absolutely necessary that both the inlet and outlet air ducts are adequately dimensioned. Prime Time has an improved air intake four times larger than a standard Nauticat. The engine room most also be ventilated, so that the temperature can be kept down to a satisfactory level. To ventilate the engine room more effectively and keep the temperature at a low level, Prime Time has two heavy duty suction fans installed in the outlet air ducts. The fans are rated for continues duty. The above measures surely contributes to Prime Time?s outstanding fuel economy.
HVAC System For maximum comfort Prime Time has two reverse cycle ducted A/C unit with a total capacity of 28,000 BTU. Bilge Pumps Prime Time has a bilge pump system consisting of two automatic bilge pumps mounted on a console that is detachable and can be lifted up for easy cleaning. The pumps are mounted on top of another the lowest mounted pump has a capacity of 360 gal./hr. and handles minor leakage. Sitting on top is a 2000 gal./hr. emergency pump that takes care of any major leak.
