Designed by Holman and Pye and built by Oyster Marine in 1986 the Oyster 435 coachroof is good looking aft cockpit version of a well renowned hull design. Hull no. 28, launched in 1986.
The aft cockpit version of the 435 has a practical internal layout with a good, social saloon and comfortable sleeping accommodation.
White GRP hull with cove, boot and style lines, preventative epoxy coatings applied in 2003 to the underwater surfaces. White GRP topsides with teak laid sidedecks, cockpit seats and cockpit sole. Internal structural floors and stringers to Lloyds approved design specification. Internal joinery in teak with teak and holly floorboards Fin keel with cast iron, encapsulated ballast. Wheel steered to skeg hung rudder (pedestal bearings replaced in 2012).
Nanni N4.43D.HD, 43hp diesel engine. New in 2011. Fresh water cooled with heat exchanger. Flexibly mounted beneath cockpit. Z drive reversing reduction gearbox with single lever control, new in 2011, to 3 bladed feathering propeller. Rope cutter. Approx 686 hours, October 2017.
