Bay Lady is the largest passenger schooner on the West Coast. She was built in 1989 by Washburn & Doughty. Construction is a work of art. She operated in Bar Harbor Maine until 1999 when she came to San Francisco Bay.
She has a fresh 5 year COI good for 87 passengers and 3 crew for Lakes Bays & Sounds...72 for near coastal (passenger count currently limited by the size of the inflatable buoyancy apparatus which is currently 50 pax)
Her Cummins 6BT 5.9 is a factory reman in 2017 with 475 hours. All new standing rigging installed 2020. The hull was sandblasted to bright metal in 2016 and triple coated with epoxy. She is a very well maintained schooner!
She offers a large cockpit, big enough to seat 60 people, slightly recessed into the center of the boat, a design perfect for keeping the passengers in the sun but out of the wind. On deck, Bay Lady offers wide walkways and comfortable seating on her cabin tops. Her one step boarding (no tall ladders to get aboard) makes embarking and disembarking a breeze.
Below Bay Lady offers two heads and a spacious galley area in the forepeak. Bay Lady's salon is crafted from a beautiful combination of hardwoods, including cherry and alder. This area provides a comfortable space for a few the passengers to get out of the sun and relax to the sounds of the sea all around.
She's a very successful charter boat. There are options to buy the business if that is of interest to you.
