This Kiwi design and build Ron Given catamaran is ready to take you and your family anywhere. Massively spacious from the cockpit to the cabins, this boat is the complete cruisers paradise.
There is awesome water access from the transom steps, and a big seating area around the helm station. Great visibility from the central helm station and cockpit makes for easy sailing.
This fast cruiser was professionally built by Export Multihulls in 1990. The construction is cedar plank sheathed in fibreglass, with the decks ply foam ply sandwich. She was built with centre cases; however, the daggerboards were never completed. So she has been fitted with fixed keels that draw 1.1m, making for great upwind performance.
The engines (Volvo Sail Drive) were replaced in 2014 and have done around 900 hours. This boat is comfortable and capable of handling any sea.
She has just undergone a refit by the owners, with a fresh paint job and non-skid. The interior features lovely timber flooring, and modern fixtures in the galley and bathrooms. The 5-cabin layout offers more than enough room for the family plus guests, with a separate workshop and laundry in the port aft hull. There is huge amounts of storage space, with large cupboards, two pantries, and a huge fridge, freezer and cool box in the galley.
This boat is set up to be an extremely comfortable live a board or long- range cruiser. Some of her other features include:
- Washing machine
- Solar Panels
- Air Conditioning
- New stove & oven with full size gas hotplate
- Mercury 3.5m Inflatable with 15hp outboard
The rigging was replaced in 2012, with a new forestay in 2016. She has a full sail wardrobe, including a mainsail, jib, spinnaker and gennaker, all of which are in excellent condition.
The boat is located in Opua, Bay of Islands, on a swing mooring. It is visible from the wharf next to the 36 Degrees office. Contact Robbs today to arrange a viewing.
