NEW LOWER PRICE!
White Caps is a fine example of the popular Catalina 42 models with the master Pullman forward and two large aft cabins. A large galley and dinette make up the living area. And the cockpit and deck make her a fine place for guests. And she sails great.
She is back from some cosmetic upgrades including full new gel coat on the hull, new rub rail, new stanchions, new life lines, new davits, new sail cover and new running rigging lines. Also fresh bottom paint so she is ready to go!
Owner has moved off and is anxious to see her go on new adventures. Be sure to add to you short list.
Beginning forward in the Vee is an oversized separate shower and master head. The forward berth is a Pullman-style double with a custom inner spring mattress.
In the salon, the galley is to starboard and a comfortable dinette to port. New salon cushions, late 2016.
Next aft, the navigation station is to port and the day/aft head is to starboard.
The two aft cabins on either side of the companionway are doubles with head room of a larger boat. The interior has exceptional bright work and a very cozy feel.
There is one 16,000 BTU CruiseAire A/C system to maintain a cool temperature at the dock. There is an additional A/C system that needs to be replaced that cools the two aft cabins.
The galley is definitely a main feature of the Catalina 42. Located starboard in the salon, it has a lot of counter space including a very large refrigerator/freezer box with an Adler Barbour compressor. The Princess 3-burner LPG stove and oven is centrally located with a Kenmore toaster oven above.

Two power cords, new 2016.
There is a Xantrek Link 2000 inverter/charger to support the 2 x 4D AGM house batteries (2016) and 2 x start batteries.
The reliable Yanmar 4JH is located under the companionway stairs with access panels on all four sides. It has only 2275 hours. New motor mounts were installed in 2004. Engine powers a feathering, variable pitch Autoprop.
Owner's maintenance and care keep it looking like new.
A new Hot Water Heater 2013.
The rig is a standard battened mainsail on with two reef points and doused with lazy jacks. The 80% genoa is new in 2006 on a Schaefer furler.
All lines lead back to the cockpit to line stoppers and supported by 2 x Lewmar 40's on the coach roof. The genoa sheets lead to 2 x Lewmar 52 winches and there are 2 x Lewmar 40's on the mast. The Schaefer fairlead cars are adjustable from the cockpit. There is a mast mounted whisker pole.

A new Bimini Top and Dodger installed in late 2016.
The anchor roller has room for two anchors; a 44 lb Bruce is the primary on an all chain rode and a Delta secondary on a chain/rope rode, lead to a Maxwell horizontal windlass.
Above the swim platform is a davit lift for a dingy with the solar panels mounted across the rails.
Added stern seats provide the best seat in the cockpit. The helm is a leather covered 8-spoke Edson wheel.
