WHOLE LOTTA BOAT FOR THE $$$$'S
Overview
With her rakish appearance, affordable price, and spacious interior, the 37 Convertible was a highly successful boat for Silverton during the 1990s. (An earlier Silverton 37 Convertible was produced from 1980–89.) Built on a solid fiberglass, modified-V hull with a wide beam and prop pockets to reduce draft, Silverton offered this model with “convertible” and “midcabin” interiors. (Note that the original floorplans were updated in 1993.) The convertible layout contains a single private stateroom forward with the galley and dinette down, A separate stall shower is found in the double-entry head, and the decor is a tasteful blend of teak , cherry or light oak trim and inexpensive fabrics. While the 37 is more family cruiser than fishboat, the cockpit is roomy enough for a couple of light-tackle anglers and features an in-deck fish box and a transom door. Additional features include wide side decks, wraparound lounge seating on the bridge, bow pulpit, a well-arranged engineroom, and side-dumping exhausts. No racehorse, standard 350hp gas engines cruise the gas engines cruise the Silverton 37 at 15–16 knots with a top speed in the mid 20s.
Belowdecks, her 1 stateroom galley /dinette down interior of the Silverton 41 is arranged with the galley and dinette forward, three steps down from the salon. The salon sofa converts along with the dinette to provide extra sleeping capacity for 6 people comfortably. An island berth is located in the master stateroom and there is a private entrance the stateroom as well as a day/guest entrance from the galley dinette area for day use and for guests overnite. The interior is cherry and her wide wraparound windows give the boat plenty of light inside the cabin. The Silverton 41’s wide cockpit includes a transom door that opensd onto a fiberglass swim platform.. The flybridge—which is big for a boat this size—has helm and companion seat aft of the center console helm and lounge seating forward going forward to portside and a bench in front of the helm console.
This boat, as most 37 Convertibles produced in 1994 is Gas powered with twin 454XL Crusader inboards rated at 3/50HP each.
The boat offers great interior and exterior comfort in her size range and a good potential liveaboard, Intercoastal cruiser or offshore fishing boat.
