The Dufour 45 Classic has accommodations for eight adults with four private sleeping cabins, three double cabins and a fourth cabin with upper and lower berths! Along with two heads with stall showers and a great galley, salon, and nav station, this commodious layout makes her a sought after vessel for a family or cruisers who love to entertain. This is a modern vessel that is distinctly European in its design and ambiance. It is clean and light and bright and modern and yet the Mahogany paneling is nicely nautical. The Master cabin forward is pleasing with the spacious V-berth and access to the forward head. Adjacent the head there is a single cabin which is also a great storage location. The aft cabins port and starboard are quite large due to the generous beam carried well aft. The port cabin has private access to the aft head to port. The four private cabins make this a very commodious vessel. The main salon is spacious and comfortable with good ventilation from the opening deck hatches and opening ports with screens. The main salon dining arrangement can please a party, if the chef can handle it. The u-shaped dinette to starboard has a large table which has been adapted with drop down leaves to make the space more open. Still you can seat eight if you want to. The galley is actually a kitchen arranged on the port side adjacent the dining area. It is a real French galley, so it is not that difficult to please the crew. The boat is elegant and sophisticated European with very comfortable accommodations for six or eight, gorgeous entertaining cockpit, swim platform, cockpit shower and if you have a vision that includes friends, you will not disappoint yourself or your friends.
This vessel offers a beautiful ships galley in the French way on the port side in the midst of the action in the salon

The 45 Clasic is built in the "traditional" manner of composite fiberglass construction, with structural stringers ( as opposed to a molded structural-grid liner) bonded to a hand-laid hull of uni- and tri-directional fibers. A non-structural liner is then tabbed in to provide the framework for the nicely finished mahogany interior. From the waterline to the hull/deck joint, a PVC foam-core sandwich is incorporated into the lay-up. The vacuum-bagged foam-injected rudder employs an aluminum stock with a pair of flexible, self-aligning bearings that combine with the boat's Whitlock rack-and-pinion steering system to give an extremely light feel to the helm. The lead keel is bolted directly onto the boat's rather flat underbody. This makes a simple, strong arrangement but due to the lack of a dedicated molded-in sump the bilge is extremely shallow.
