The asking price of this 1999 Fairline Targa 30 reflects the lack of use / regular checking over the early part of 2020, as a result of Covid-19, resulting in an excessive amount of fresh water finding its way into the engine compartment (the damaged teak side deck step, which was the source of the problem, has now been replaced). Consequently, both engines and stern drives now need to be lifted out for a major overhaul / service, including new sumps, bell housings, water pumps, starter motors and alternators etc. As the cost of this work is estimated to be in the region of £20,000 (Ex Vat), any potential purchaser may wish to consider the alternative option of installing two new Volvo Penta D3-170DP diesel engines and stern drives (estimated cost £38,000 Ex Vat) - more information available on request. A popular sports cruiser from the renowned Fairline range with enormous potential for reliable and trouble-free family cruising in Channel Island waters and the adjacent French coast. British Part 1 registered.
