Accommodations
While the Silverton 42's exterior is configured for sport fishing, the interior is designed for entertaining or week-long stays in comfort and elegance. It features real natural cherry wood with Berber carpeting, for a warm and inviting atmosphere. Windows on all sides keep it light and bright, and there are even "power" windows on either side. The interior is in amazing shape for her age, with no obvious signs of wear on the carpet, upholstery or woodwork. Two zones of reverse-cycle air/heat provide year-round comfort, no matter what the weather outside.
The SALON features a comfortable love seat to starboard, with supple Leatherette upholstery. It is a "Flexsteel" sleeper, so it converts to a berth. The coffee table has a glass top to protect the wood. Opposite is a Vizio TV with DVD player and Bose surround sound, and a JVC stereo with 5-disc CD player.
The dinette table is forward with U-shaped seating for four people. Above is a fishing-rod storage locker, concealed in the overhead.
The MASTER STATEROOM is forward, and features a queen-size berth on centerline, with drawers under. Headroom is 6' 6". The hanging locker to starboard is cedar-lined and has auto-switch lighting. There are shelves on either side of the berth, plus opening ports, a hatch, and reading lights. There is direct access to the head to starboard, and direct access to the shower to port. There is also a TV, (new 2017) plus separate air/heat controls. New foam-backed lining on the hull sides in 2019.
The GUEST STATEROOM is to port. It features an athwartships double berth, 6'7" headroom, an opening port, hanging locker, and two cabinets. There is direct access to the shower.
The HEAD is to starboard with a vacuflush toilet, Corian countertop with sink, medicine cabinet, double sliding cabinets, plus an under-sink cabinet, opening port and exhaust fan.
