PRESS REVIEWS:

Designed by world-renowned naval architects Groupe Finot, the 42CC is a classy bluewater passagemaker that features numerous standard innovations at a value price.

Her deck lines are similar to the new generation of yachts that Beneteau recently introduced with the 473 and 393 aft cockpit layouts. The 42CC entices the eye of the traditional yachtsman with the beauty of her classic transom. Never seen before in the Beneteau Centre Cockpit series, this brand-new design's sleek deck line creates a lean fetching profile while maintaining utmost functionality. "Throughout the world of design, there is a renewed popularity of the classic familiar form mated with modern evolutionary elegance. We've seen this movement in everything from cars to houses. Beneteau's creative mastermind, Francois Chalain, in conjunction with the Finot Naval Architecture team, has captured the best traditional look with this sleek centre cockpit encompassing a visual appeal that is truly outstanding," said Wayne Burdick, President.

The 42 Center Cockpit demonstrates Beneteau’s value-for-the-money equation by including a long list of standard features. Top of the line deck hardware, tremendous ventilation, oversized winches, hard dodger/spray hood, bulkhead steering, and teak inlaid cockpit seats -- to name just a few. On deck, the hard dodger with opening windows provides protection to the spacious centre cockpit. Standard bulkhead steering opens up the cockpit making it easy to entertain and manoeuvre about. The aft deck is big enough to accommodate several lounge chairs and perfect for relaxing while at anchor. One of the 42 CC's most interesting innovative features is found back aft. A sliding section in the aft deck conceals a two-tread staircase leading to a boarding platform on the drop down transom. While underway, the transom/boarding platform pulls up shut to form the classic transom.

"Beneteau has gained quite a few accolades with past innovations on their swim platforms, and the 42 CC is no exception. I can't think of a more elegant way to board a yacht of this calibre and it is sure to impress the most scrupulous of buyers," said Michael Lecholop, Vice President Sales. Like all Beneteaus, the interior of the 42 CC incorporates crafted cherry stained cabinetry and joinery. Overhead panoramic deck lights flood the main salon with light and ventilation. The galley features plenty of storage for all your cooking paraphernalia in addition to lots of counter space. The luxurious master suite is equipped with a centreline berth, flanking settees for lounging and a built-in dressing table.

"Next to the innovative boarding platform, one of the most awesome features of the 42 CC is the amount of storage. You will be amazed at the size of her ample aft deck lockers, big enough to stow all your gear, sails and more," said Lecholop.
