This Fairline Targa 34 is without doubt a great value for money boat. She was originally the 2005 Southampton Boat Show boat and is therefor a 2006 Model. This Mk 2 Targa 34 has a classic blue hull with white topsides and is quipped with the larger engines making her even more fun out on the water. She really is presented very much like a new boat, maintained to a very high standard and with low hours she really is a must see boat.
Please see our website where there are many more photographs of the boat on the brokerage pages.
The boat has original upgraded Berber carpets throughout which are covered by two sets of Berber over carpets! All woodwork is high gloss finish and is so immaculate she looks like a new boat. There is a very comfortable SALOON with a curved leather sofa which has a stool which pulls out at one end for additional seating. Rise and fall table which also converts to an additional berth if required. Ample storage in overhead lockers and beneath the sofa. Wall mounted flat screen television. JVC Radio and CD unit with remote control and speakers in both the saloon and cockpit area.
The GALLEY is situated on the starboard side of the saloon and has good work surfaces which have a white finish complimented by black starlight Corian inserts. Two burner gas hob with a gas oven beneath. Large Fridge with ice compartment, good sized sink with mixer tap. Original Fairline logo Crockery, glasses and cutlery are included. There is a waste bin cleverly concealed in the moulded steps down into the saloon. Escape hatch an dvent which also provides plenty of extra overhead natural light.
Door to Heads and shower. Electric WC and hand held shower.
Door to Master Cabin which has an offset Double berth with storage below the bed, in side lockers and a hanging wardrobe. Escape and ventilation hatch above bed. Opening portholes.
Door from saloon to the second Twin berth cabin. This is under the cockpit sole and has the advantage of a vanity unit with good storage too. Portholes for ventilation and additional light.
The Cockpit of the Targa is one of the best designed on the market. It has plenty of very stylish and comfortable seating plus a large table which is ideal for al fresco dining. There is a curved seating area to the aft of the cockpit, a single curved seat by the built in drinks fridge and also an L shaped seating opposite the helm station. The whole cockpit area is covered by a canvas cover with various zip in section to provide as much ventilation or shade as you wish. The whole cover can, of course, be removed for those really lovely open air cruising days. In addition to the standard cover set, the owner tells us that he has a tonneau cover and a camper cover as well.
The Helm area is very well equipped and has had an upgrade to include a Raymarine E97 Hybrid HD plotter and Radar usefully mounted on a swivel base, DSC VHF, Autopilot, AIS, Searchlight control, Compass and all the usual engine gauges and outdrive leg controls and attitude indicators. There is a bow thruster to assist when mooring and all the switches have recently been replaced because the original ones were looking a little worn!
Cockpit door to teal laid bathing platform, a small storage locker for ropes etc. Drop down swim ladder, shower unit and life raft in a storage compartment moulded into the transom.
The engine room is accessed by a hydraulically operated hatch in the cockpit floor. There are 2 Volvo KAD 300 engines each giving 285 hp and making the boat capable of speeds well into the high thirties and on a good day, lightly loaded one might see 40 knots. A very comfortable cruise speed would be in the high twenties.
Engine hours were just 585 when we viewed her in August this year and the engine room was clean and very tidy indeed.
Being a Mk2 Targa 34, she also has a useful storage box in the engine room in which was housed the inflatable tender and oars. A wall mounted heater was also noted.
Fuel tank size is125 gallons and the water tank has a 50 gallons capacity.
Engine and mechanical maintenance is undertaken by a local and respected marine engineering company.
