With three cabins and two heads configuration the space on board Chinwag is fully utilized. Through various port lights and hatches through out the vessel, she maintains a constant light and airy feel. With the addition of a diesel heater and well placed outlets and numerous spotlights very quickly can you create a warm welcoming environment.
The saloon benefits from a generously sized salon table and seating area. The table will convert the seating are to a large double berth if required. Offset to the port side you find a well placed navigation station with seating either side of it.
Equipped with a 2 burner stove and grill, Microwave oven, large top loading fridge compartment, two separate sinks with pressurised hot and cold water supply and plentiful storage space for utensils and crockery.
Both aft cabins are of a generous size with storage cupboards fitted to both. With port lights and hatches fitted, both cabins are not short of light or headroom.
Both heads are fitted with Jabsco manual toilets and vanity sinks. The Aft heads also comes with a shower compartment with folding screen with a shower drain pump fitted. The forward heads are en-suite with the cabin and also have a shower head, drained floor and pump.
The boat comes with a comprehensive navigation and instrument package, that features speed, depth, wind and Autopilot. All information is displayed on Raymarine ST70 Displays. She is also fitted with a Raymarine 55E DSC VHF.
The boat is equipped with the performance pack which includes upgrades to the rigging and sails. She has stainless Dyform standing rigging and Dyneema running rigging. The sails are of Mylar Taffeta construction and there are mainsail and a 160% overlapping genoa. There is a solid strut boom vang system and adjustable backstay tensioner to allow further tweeking of the rig.
The mainsail has two single line reefing points and tackle for a third reef if required and stores in a lazy bag system with lazy jacks and zip to close.
The genoa is on a roller furling system.
With all lines led back to the cockpit she becomes a very manageable vessel.
Chinwag comes with a 3 cylinder Yanmar 40hp (3JH5CE) engine. She is fitted with a sail drive and as part of the performance package she comes with a folding propeller.
In the cockpit there is the widely favoured twin wheel feature allowing comfortable helming on both tacks. There is good seating all around and a central table gives a good bracing structure at sea and a great social area at anchor. The transom folds down to give a swim platform and good access to a dinghy. Sheet winches mounted immediately in front of the wheels are used for both the mainsail - via a German sheeting system - and the genoa and can easily be operated by the helmsman. All other control lines are led to the two coachroof mounted winches - mounted below the sprayhood. The port hand one of these is an electric model.
Three good sized cockpit lockers allow plenty of storage for gear and she comes with fenders and warps.
There is a dedicated storage for a liferaft with Seago 6 man offshore canister unit. Last serviced by Seago 2011. Service was due April 2018
Mooring And Anchoring
Chinwag has rear mid and forward deck cleats for mooring. She comes with a deep anchor well where you will find the electric anchor windlass. She also has a second anchor roller allowing you to leave your anchor prepped and still be able to pick up a mooring line. There is 60 metres of chain and a Delta anchor.
