OLSEN 370, YEAR 2014 - A COMPLETELY UNIQUE EYECATCHER YACHT…!
This Olsen 370 is for the very discerning and extremely design-conscious connoisseur. Everything is thought through everywhere down to the smallest detail, both for unfailing sense of style and for practical and functional solutions, above and below deck.
The deep cockpit with the distinguished Jefa carbon fiber steering wheel offers creative innovation. Two large winches on consoles led into the rudder stock. Folding, ergonomically adjustable seats on both sides behind the rudder ensure comfortable seating in all conditions. And in front of this central command post with the exclusive B&G plotter placed directly in the field of view, the 2-meter long coffin benches extend forward towards the ruff, which is constructed just so low that there is a full view of the entire foreship when the sprayhood is down. The deep coffin benches on both sides easily snatch the bikes, golf-bag and other equipment.
The deck layout is a real delight to the eye. Long, low and clean lines pull beautifully from the finely integrated "gangway" in the bow and aft to the stern. The longitudinal, smoke-colored acrylic plate of the ruff slips beautifully into the overall, visual harmony. It simply could not be more elegant and stylish.
Below the waterline hides the fast-paced, vertical torpedo keel, of course in solid cast lead.
Olsen 370 continues to surprise and delivers enjoyable new thinking under deck. The boat appears here quite unusually as almost one common room with the pantry first in front to port after the entrance. The tasteful toilet room with electric toilet is properly placed directly opposite to starboard. Frozen acrylic sheets both open and close this space for the rest of the main living room with the black leather sofas on both sides, the width of which can be increased by 15 cm. The two spacious closets at the end of the sofas mark the transition to the forepeak, but just without separating the rooms. Aesthetically, the space balances beautifully between white, black and the deep reddish-brown mahogany color in the solidly executed woodwork. Here, as everywhere, only quality materials are seen in distinguished workmanship and with a completely unique sense of form and color in contemporary minimalism: nothing is superfluous and nothing is missing.
Of course, the new owner will also rejoice in the eminent sailing characteristics. With its advanced underwater hull, its light but very strong vacuum-molded sandwich construction and the dimensionally stable Elvström Epex sails, the Olsen 370 has a truly frightening speed potential for any competitors on the racing track - or touring.
This boat is in every way a true one, dreamed and conceived solely for the purpose of speed and beauty combined with practical solutions and without the petty distinction of construction costs. It is therefore aimed at the sailor who has an eye for and will precisely appreciate these qualities.
