"Solitude" is an extremely well maintained 2004 Beneteau 361. She is a 2 cabin owner's version with everything that a cruising couple would need to set off for their next adventure. Solitude is equipped with the saught after 2 cabin owner's layout as opposed to the 3 cabin layout more popular with charter vessels. Her interior shows like new and has been maintained in bristol fashion by her current owner. The companionway is accessed by a sliding plexiglass hatch and removing a vented 2 part plexiglass hatchboard system. As one moves down the companionway from the cockpit the steps are GRP with antislip treads and 2 woooden handrails on either side.The whole caompanionway hinges for access to the engne.
Once at the base of the companionway, the access for the aft cabin, also designated as the owner's cabin, is to starboard. Here you will find a large hanging locker located outboard and forward of the double berth. The double berth is designed so that 2 can sleep very comfortably thwartships. The aft cabin is also equipped with an flip down screen DVD player.
Moving out of the aft cabin, the large U-shaped galley is located directly to port. The galley features: Stainless double sink with pressurised hot and cold water system, Cutlery Drawer, Stainless Steel Propane Force 10 Gimballed 2 Burner Stove with Oven, Adler Barber 12v DC Cold Plate Bottom Loading Refridgerator with Top Loading Freezer, Built in Microwave, ventilation is provided by 1 opening porthole above the stove.
Just forward of the galley is the forward facing nav station that is equipped with a chart table with storage underneath. Aft of the table is a fixed seat, also with storage underneath. Here you will find all of the vessel's electrical controls, breaker panel, GPS/Radar display, VHF, JVC CD/AM/FM head unit, and vessel manuals.
Directly to starboard of the Galley is the entrance to the head. The fully moulded head is equipped with: Seperate Shower Stall with Teak Seat, Hand Held Shower with Fixed Attachment on the forward bulkhead, Electric Sump Pump, Built in Wash Basin with Pressurised Hot and Cold Water, Lockers for Toilet Accessories, Mirror, Clothes Hooks, Manual Marine Toilet, Ventilation is provided by one Lewmar opening porthole.
The Main Salon is beautifully appointed with stunning navy blue cushions that are in excellent condition. To starboard there is a large U-shaped settee and Dining Table with leaf and wood mouldings. The settee can be converted by lowering the dining table and installing the filler cushion that is stored in the forward stateroom. Outboard of the settee there is storage fore and aft as well as the vent for the reverse cycle heat and air system. Natural light is provided by a fixed port above and outboard of the settee. There is also a fixed halogen reading light located above the settee.
To port and forward of the nav station there is a large traditional straight settee with storage underneath. A shelf above and outboard of the settee has a small flat screen TV and fixed port for natural light. The settee is also equipped with an overhead holgen reading light. The single storage cupboard is located against the forward bulkhead.
Forward of the main salon is the guest cabin that features a large V-berth. Storage cupboards are located along the hull on both the port and starboard sides. There is a large storage locker with shelf aft and to starboard. Lighting is provided by 2 reading lights, 1 overhead light and natural light/ventilation provided by an overhead opening hatch with shade.
The hull of the Beneteau 361 is constructed of solid GRP laminate, structural inner grid with incorporated floor timber and reinforced with unidirectional rovings. The deck is balsa sandwich for rigidity as well as sound and heat insulation. She is also equipped with the 5' draft keel consisting of an iron keel with a fin/wing configuration.
